"Hello!
We just wanted to send a note of appreciation to Brian Lesko and all his staff at Islamorada Boat Center.
We have a Yamaha 40 horsepower outboard motor. Unfortunately we had problems from the start with the carburetors. We bought it in January 2005 it was already in the shop by the 12th of February with the motor not getting full rpm and a fuel leak. We took the motor to the other dealer in town. They found nothing. They implied the problem was our fault. They told us it must be bad fuel/fuel tank. (This despite the fact we did not use the on board fuel tank. Instead, we bought a brand new portable fuel tank and hoses.)
I'll omit at all the boring details. In summary, the carburetor problems went on for years. None of it was covered by warranty. The only help we received from the other dealership was the name of some mechanics, who were willing and able to clean the carburetors. The carburetors required constant maintenance and cleaning and still didn't function properly. We were seriously considering junking the motor. Finally, one of the mechanics referred us to Brian Lesko and Islamorada Boat Center. Hallelujah!
Brian told us he had seen small outboards like ours with similar problems.
He had us bring the boat in October of 2007. He evaluated the problem. Confirmed his suspicions. Contacted Yamaha and got them to replace these rather expensive carburetors free of charge. There was still a small problem after the carburetor was replaced. Brian had no problem bringing it back in, and his mechanic Mike found and corrected a bad primer bulb.
The motor has run great, ever since.

"I bought my boat a 25 foot Angler with twin 150 4 stroke Yamaha's from Brian in 2004 when I first moved to the Keys. They professionally rigged the boat and put it together to my specifications and everything I was told about the boat turned out to be exactly true. Have had very good luck with the boat and I use Islamorada Boat Center exclusively for all my servicing. Work is completed on time and the service technicians are very capable and professional.
